Detections and alerting often missed suspicious behaviors, advanced threats, and unknown threats.
Sercan explored how to apply the speed and value of artificial intelligence in the cybersecurity field.
This led him to working with raw network traffic, rather than log data. Raw network traffic has much higher volume, making it difficult to work with.
But it's worth it. By looking at network traffic, a SOC can identify threats sooner.
This led Sercan to begin building a network detection and Response tool.
